Recently one of our corrosion contractors has been added to the Painters Standard Agreement. It may be that the contractor is trying to use painters to do our work applying epoxies, blankets, fibre etc to vessels. Contact the hall or the president if you have done this work in the past.

Our contractor has notified the union in writing that all employees will be paid according to the Bricklayers Standard Industrial Agreement (BC). Some were asking about the possibility of higher conditions on this job. In an arbitration in 2013 it was determined that members could not ask for higher conditions than were in the agreement.
